I believe the entire Bible is God’s infallible revelation to men. So this entire creed is quoted from the Bible.
The reality of human and sin in this fallen world:
Romans 3:10: There is no one righteous, not even one.
Romans 3:23: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 9:27: Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.
Jesus Christ’s death, burial and resurrection paid the price of sin (death) for those who believe in Him so we can receive the gift of eternal life:
Romans 5:8: But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Peter 3:18: For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
Galatians 3:13: Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”
Titus 3:5-7: He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
John 3:16-18: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only son.
1 Corinthians 15:3-6: For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time.
Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven:
John 14:6: Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Acts 4:12: Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
Romans 8:1-2: Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 5:9-10: Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath though him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him, how much more having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
2 Corinthians 5:21: God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
1 Timothy 2:5-6: For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus who gave himself as a ransom for all people.
1 Peter 2:22: He (Jesus) committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.
1 Peter 1:18-21: For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.
John 10:10: I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
1 John 5:13: I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
Ephesians 2:8-9: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.
John 14:3: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
How can I put my faith in Jesus?
Romans 10:9-10: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
If we put our faith in Jesus, as the Son of God coming to earth, fully God and fully human. He is the perfect sacrifice because he is without sin. Out of His great love for us, He died on the cross to pay for all our sins. He was buried and after three days he had bodily resurrection. Jesus ascended to heaven to prepare a place for us but He will come again. If we accept Him to be our Savior from sin and the Lord of our lives, we are wholly redeemed from eternal damnation and receive the gift of eternal life with Him.
John 1:12: Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17-19: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.
